Ingolstadt, March 28, 2014 – The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rated the Audi A3 Sedan* Top Safety Pick+. The new model is thus also one of the safest automobiles on the market in the U.S.A.

The IIHS awarded the Audi A3 Sedan the top score of “Good” in all crash disciplines rated. The rating is based on a frontal collision with 40 percent overlap (moderate overlap), a frontal collision with 25 percent overlap (small overlap), a side impact, roof strength and a rear impact.
“The Top Safety Pick+ award for the A3 Sedan impressively illustrates the importance Audi attaches to the issue of safety,” said Joachim Scheef, Head of Vehicle Safety Development at AUDI AG.
